FAQs
When should I book my spray tan for my special event?
Schedule your spray tan after all spa services (waxing, manicure, pedicure, etc.) and 2–3 days before your event.
How long do your spray tans last?
Your spray tan will typically last 5–7 days (up to 10 for some), depending on your skin type and daily activities. Because DHA develops on the outermost layer of skin, your tan will naturally begin to fade as your skin exfoliates, usually within 4–5 days.
Following a proper skincare routine before and after your appointment is key to maximizing results. We also offer color-extending moisturizers and DHA touch-up sprays to help maintain and prolong your glow.
What kind of products do you use?
We use state-of-the-art tanning solutions and extenders made with all-natural ingredients that are safe for sensitive skin. Our formulas feature ECO-cert DHA and are paraben-free, gluten-free, nut-free, and 100% vegan. They contain no harsh chemicals or harmful preservatives.
Is spray tanning safe?
Yes. Our solutions contain aloe, white tea, and DHA (dihydroxyacetone)—the active ingredient used in sunless tanning for over 30 years. DHA was listed with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration in 1973 and is approved for use in cosmetics that color the skin.
Derived from glycerin (sugar beets), DHA works by reacting with the proteins and amino acids in the outermost layer of your skin to create a natural-looking tan without UV exposure.
Can I still get a UV tan in addition to my spray tan?
Yes, just remember that spray tanning does not provide any sunscreen protection, so you should apply sunscreen accordingly.
How long should I wait after the application before I can shower or sweat?
For best results, rinse 2–4 hours after your session for Rapid tans using a warm, rinse-only shower. Avoid soap during your first rinse, as it can interfere with DHA development.
The full development process takes about 24 hours as the DHA continues to react with your skin’s pH. After showering, gently pat dry—rather than rubbing.
How can I minimize exfoliation from hot tubs, swimming pools and the ocean after my session?
After your tan has developed (24 hours) and after your first shower, minimize water activity. Apply waterproof sunscreen (preferably lotion) frequently prior to any water activity. Chlorine can increase the rate of your skins exfoliation.
Will the tanning solution stain my clothes?
The bronzer will rinse off during your first post-tan shower. Until then, the added color guide may transfer to certain fabrics such as nylon, silk, wool, or polyester. If this happens, a thorough cold-water soak typically removes the color. Most fabrics are safe and do not permanently stain.
